Beyoncé, ‘Halo’
R and B goddess and Jay-Z’s better half finally releases her best track to date.
Beyoncé Knowles really needs no introduction, though in a nutshell she’s the multi-award-winning vocal powerhouse from Destiny’s Child who conquered the R and B world.
‘Halo’ is the strongest track from her “alter-ego” recent record, ‘I Am... Sasha Fierce’ and is a hair-raising belter of a tune. Co-written by everyone’s favourite pop whore, Ryan Tedder (lead singer of OneRepublic) and Evan Bogart,
Knowles also produced the track too.
The song has been compared to ‘Bleeding Love’ and does feature a similar structure, though even Leona would concede her voice
isn’t yet as might as Knowles’.
If it doesn’t go to number one than all one can concede is that either the record-buying
Brits are deaf or have already bought the album – either one not a good enough excuse. It’s an iconic pop anthem that has all the classic gospel stylings we love her for.
