 You’ve Never Ade it Better
Several rags were awash with the news that I’m sure every Gooner has been desperate to hear, oh yes another fine example of ‘player power’. Poor old Manu Adebayor, at the start of last season he was a nobody– just some lanky bloke Arsenal signed who was about as lethal as Kanu and as potent as Chris Sutton. One fairly good season later, of which it could easily be argued that any Premier League striker worth his salts should be banging in 20+ per season (even Stan ‘The Man’ Collymore managed that) and £50k a week isn’t good enough anymore.
If Arsenal fans are celebrating, they should seriously take a long, hard look at themselves. A reported £32M (which even AC Milan claimed was ludicrous) price tag would have been by far the best deal of the season. Yet the simple fact is, he’s just not that good.
