Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Saturday 26th July It’s a shame when you can’t rely on your family to do what’s best for you. This was undoubtedly the biggest week of Christian Bale’s life. Having already had flirtations with success playing Pat Bateman in the acclaimed American Psycho and indeed his ascension to the much-tarnished Batman role– this was finally his chance to cement his place as an ‘A-Lister’. Bale must have thought the work of The Joker was at hand- his mother and sister putting in an assault claim after reportedly rowing over his refusal to give a $100k loan. Having seen both of the victims, I can confirm that they seem rather unaffected by Bale’s onslaught. The timing was shocking and if Christian has any sense he will see them for what they are. Does Barack Obama want to join The Euro or what?! In his “historic, landmark (quotations from several unmentionable rags)” Berlin speech he mentioned he wanted America, Britain and Europe to join together. That’s quite an odd group to unite, what with America’s record in other continents. The likes of Australasia and developed Asia needn’t worry, Brussels however... Fantastic analogy of Peter Mandelson as Kaa the Snake. Europe need to wise up, Mandelson has been hypnotizing Britain for years.
