If you don’t stop, I’ll get my mate Dave on you!
If British politics was decided on initiative and political savvy, The Tories and in particular Dave C would be in office by now. Blair was right to fear Gordon Brown’s chances against him, probably because he saw a lot of himself in charismatic Big Dave.
If Tony Blair was still in power, as the master of poking his oar in others’ water (the Olympic pun was too tempting), he’d have been standing on a Georgian podium denouncing the tyrannical Russians. As it is, DC’s over there right now condemning them and making ol’ Tone proud. It’s all very well Government ministers sniggering at buccaneering Cameron, but he is doing exactly what Brown should be. And who’s he going to send? Dave Milliband, “well that will teach him for threatening to overthrow me...”, you can just picture the HeadCases baron plotting in his big empty mansion, on his own...

Text Box: Becks to Boss Galaxy, Winehouse on Countdown and Mickey Mouse in the slammer
The Sunday papers certainly earned their money this weekend. The best story was actually a tie– loved the story about Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck and presumably Pluto striking against Disney’s pay, quite understandable if you’ve had the misfortune of hearing the new Jonas Brothers album.
Amy Winehouse apparently being headhunted by Countdown to possibly replace Carol Vorderman or even be “a special guest on Dictionary Corner” nearly had the Sunday roast all over the walls. Just the very thought of it happening is amusing enough, and I’m hoping that the Daily Star were looking at it in a similarly jovial sense.
Beckham to boss LA Galaxy, they having already lost director Alexei Lalas and manager Ruud Gullit (now there’s a man who knows when to jump before the ship sinks) was joint first. It may have even been more ridiculous than the Winehouse fiasco had you not thought about it twice and realized that it actually could happen.
Oh and the story about DC arriving to find that a Ceasefire had already been signed, well the wording was fantastic!
