Local accountancy college BPP celebrated National Customer Service Week in style by hosting a number of exciting events for both its’ customers and staff.
The college, based in Shepherds Bush, West London hosts a variety of accountancy training courses in well-known qualifications such as AAT, CIMA and ACCA.
Its’ Shepherds Bush branch alone is host to over 3000 students studying for their qualifications and this week they were in for an extra treat as the celebrations began.
From an updated automated phone greeting to complimentary chocolates for its’ valued clients, the Uxbridge Road-based college was a busy place this week.
Customer Service Manager Lana Doyle was only too happy to give us an insight into what took place.
“We felt that National Customer Service Week was an important milestone for us here at BPP. We take pride in the service we provide to our students and wanted to organize things that they could all take part in whether in person or via the telephones”.
BPP’s ‘Programme of Events’ was as follows:
-          Free prize draw to win an iPod Nano for telephone customers and a ‘Baby Photos’ prize draw for staff
-          Special edition ‘Details of Interest in Customer Service’ (DICS) newsletter, available for
              distribution to students and staff
-          Thank you cards and Thornton’s chocolates sent to 365 clients
-          ‘Goodie bags’ for customers featuring free BPP merchandize
-           Customer Service Meal for staff
The celebrations came during a very busy week for the college as many of their more popular courses were well underway at this point and their Student Services office alone received over 200 visits from students.
One student commented:
“I think it’s really good that they have done something special to mark the occasion, and what could be better than a bag of free stuff? I only dropped in to change my address!” CM
